The Acupuncture Sports Medicine Apprenticeship Program
Three weekends of orthopedic assessment, anatomical point location, and our precise and effective treatment techniques. This 60 hour live seminar program from Whitfield Reaves provides the basis and fundamentals for all those who want to specialize in sports acupuncture. Each weekend course features lectures as well as supervised practice with Whitfield and his practitioner assistants. In addition to precise sports acupuncture skills, this popular program offers the benefits of a learning community with like-minded colleagues.

Treatment of The Lower Extremity
September 13, 14, & 15, 2024
Our last program for 2024
Learn diagnosis, assessment, and treatment of many common lower extremity injuries. Includes the anterior knee, with the patello-femoral joint, as well as the medial and lateral compartments of this joint. Learn shin splints – anterior and medial tibial strain – in the leg, and hamstring injuries in the thigh. And of course, achilles tendonitis, plantar fasciitis, and ankle sprain are commonly seen in clinic and are need-to-know conditions. We will also discuss biomechanics, and how correcting the pelvis and foot plant helps to prevent further micro-trauma. All in a mentorship-style group with direct supervision of needle techniques with Whitfield, Jenny, and practitioner assistants.

The Practicum Series
We have The Practicum Series which offers supervised practice of needling all those important points and zones learned in the Apprenticeship Program or on the online webinar Mastering the Treatment of Injury and Pain. However, we have had to cancel this year's program on Maui, in Hawaii. We hope to have a course scheduled soon, and with patience and good fortune, we will get this done!
